In 2022, a group of researchers and grad students from the University of Virginia and Universidad del Norte got together to share their passion and ideas for making computer science education equitable and accessible for everyone, everywhere. Their vision included conducting research, providing professional learning opportunities and creating low-cost computational tools. In 2024, we founded Roversa Robotics LLC to help turn that vision into reality.

ERIC BREDDER, co-founder

Eric Bredder, PhD (UVA), is the inventor of the Roversa Robotics platform, developed as part of his dissertation research. An award-winning educator, Eric has extensive experience in hands-on learning, engineering, and industry technology adoption.

KIM WILKENS, co-founder

Kim Wilkens, EdD (UVA), is a leader in K-8 computer science education, Kim is an education and outreach director, non-profit founder, and expert in integrating CS and STEM into both school and out-of-school learning environments at local, state, national, and global levels.
